The Special Birthday Project was created to celebrate and bring joy to the caregivers of family members with special needs.
Mothers, fathers, siblings even teachers or anyone else who gives endlessly to the needs of others that we want to send love to and celebrate.
Every month, The Kavanah Collection will send one special birthday gift to a nominated caregiver in our community.
If we do not receive extra donations, we will send one gift each month.
With your help, we can send more.

Caregivers hold everything together.
They give endlessly and care for the people around them with strength, love, and devotion.
They may not ask for recognition, but that does not mean they do not deserve to be seen, celebrated, and honored.
That is why we created the Special Birthday Project.
Everyone has a birthday.
One day of the year when a person is allowed to simply receive:
gifts, love, attention, and acknowledgment.
Just because they were born.
Just because they matter.

We need your help reaching the people we want to celebrate.
If you know someone who is deeply in caregiving mode - a parent, sibling, teacher, friend, or loved one of a person with special needs - we invite you to nominate them for a Special Birthday gift.
This can be someone who is giving a lot right now, or someone who has given so much over the years. Someone whose love, strength, and care deserve to be seen.

Every $50 received allows us to prepare and send one additional Special Birthday gift to one of the nominees.

You can nominate someone you love, someone in your community, or even yourself.
Each month, we will choose nominees to receive a Special Birthday gift from The Kavanah Collection.
All nominations will remain on our list for future gifts.
If someone is not selected this year, they may still be selected in the future.
You are welcome to nominate as many people as you’d like.
